We have already discussed what analyses we are able to perform in our Microbiological Laboratory. Time to go to the Chemical Laboratory and the tests we do in this part of our Quality Control Department.
Chemical analyses are very diverse due to the huge amount of chemical compounds that are important in pharmacy, food and cosmetic products. We can divide them, for example, into qualitative and quantitative tests, or physicochemical tests (based on physical phenomena, e.g. the refractive index test) and chemical tests (based on chemical reactions, e.g. colour reactions characteristic for a specific group of compounds). We use these analyses to test whether the raw materials and active substances used in production, and finally the finished products, meet the quality requirements specified in the applicable documents.
The standards that are established for individual tested materials and products in pharmacy are defined by the Polish Pharmacopoeia. One could say that this is a “pharmaceutical bible”, telling us both about the ranges of acceptable results in various analyses, as well as about the principles of their performance and the reagents and analytical devices used. It is on this basis that we prepare specifications, i.e. documents about what analyses we perform for the tested material / product, what are the acceptable ranges of the obtained results, and what methods we will use to conduct specific analyses. If necessary, we also use the European, American and International Pharmacopoeia.
If you would like to commission us to analyze a drug or dietary supplement in terms of the above-mentioned parameters, please send an e-mail to the following address: laboratorium@labor.com.pl, b.wieclaw@labor.com.pl or r.kowalczyk@labor.com.pl in in order to determine the details of the offer.
We look forward to working with you!
