Today, another curiosity from the bee garden!
Spring is the time when a huge number of flowers and trees bloom. Due to the variety of the “flower menu” at this time of the year, bees can provide young generations with a proper diet, rich in proteins of various origins. Plant flowers tempt insects with their colours and scent and are therefore pollinated.
The bee, flying out of the hive, visits a large number of them to collect pollen before it returns to its home. During one flight, it will land only on flowers of plants of the same species, and on its legs it will fit up to 5 million pollen particles.
