Atopic, dry or sensitive skin requires carefully selected care to help alleviate symptoms and unpleasant sensations related to dryness, redness or itching. The LABOR offer includes the Polta-derm Intensive line of cosmetics, which is intended for skin with this type of problem. The line consists of three creams with a similar formula: Polta-derm Intensive, Polta-derm Intensive CBD and Polta-derm Intensive with a banana scent. There are, however, some differences between the individual creams, thanks to which the Polta-derm Intensive line responds to different needs.
All three creams have a fairly thick and compact consistency, but they spread very nicely because they are light and silky under the fingers. They melt easily when exposed to the heat of the skin. It gives a cooling and soothing sensation, which is especially desirable in case of irritations. Creams are absorbed instantly, creating a delicate protective film, leaving the skin smooth and deeply moisturized, but not sticky.
Polta-derm Intensive moisturizing cream-dressing is the basic version of the cream. It is intended for atopic, dry and sensitive skin. The product is delivered in a large plastic package with a capacity of 200 ml. This amount, combined with high efficiency, is enough for everyday use on large areas of the skin, and even instead of traditional body lotion. The jar has a flip-up lid that is easier to close than unscrewed, and a protection that must be removed before first use. Thanks to this, we know that no one has looked into the cosmetic before us.
In this version of the cream you will find: water, petroleum jelly, paraffin, cetyl alcohol (emollient), emulsifier, xylitol (humectant, helps maintain proper microflora), cetyl stearyl oleate (emollient), glycerin, oatmeal rich in beta-glucan (moisturizes, nourishes , strengthens) and preservatives (phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin). The composition reflects the intended use of the cosmetic, which is to moisturize and strengthen the protective barrier. Moreover, Polta-derm Intensive cream does not contain a fragrance, the ingredients of which can sometimes irritate or cause allergies.
The other two creams are available in twisted jars secured with an additional lid. The packages have a capacity of 50 ml, so they are better suited for local application to problematic areas, e.g. calves, knees or elbows. They can be used on the face, but it should be noted that the base of these products is petroleum jelly and paraffin, which create a film on the surface of the skin, under which there are anaerobic conditions that favor the development or exacerbation of inflammation or acne lesions. This type of cosmetics is best applied to the face only where it is necessary or used periodically.
Polta-derm Intensive CBD cream for atopic, dry and sensitive skin has the lightest formula of the three. Its composition, based on the same substances as the basic version, has been enriched with hemp oil and CBD, i.e. cannabidiol. Hemp oil, obtained from hemp seeds, is recommended in the care of skin with dermatological problems because it contains many substances with nourishing, soothing, anti-inflammatory and regenerating properties, e.g. antioxidants, phytosterols, vitamins, minerals and phospholipids. It is also valued for its ideal proportions between omega-3 and omega-6 unsaturated fatty acids. CBD (cannabidiol) is also obtained from hemp, but most often from flowers, because that is where the most of it is. It has a similar effect. It soothes inflammation and irritation, supports regeneration, and helps fight acne thanks to its antiseptic properties. Just like the basic version, Polta-derm Intensive CBD cream does not contain a fragrance. It is worth reaching for it in the case of local atopic lesions or the presence of highly dry, cracked and scaly areas.
The last cream in the line, Polta-derm Intensive with the scent of a banana, is characterized by the most meaty consistency. In terms of its formula, it differs from the basic variant in the presence of a banana fragrance. Not everyone likes unscented cosmetics – in this case, the banana version will be the best choice. The smell is delicate, but lingers on the skin for some time. However, it should be remembered that the ingredients of the fragrance may cause irritation or allergic reactions, therefore the cream is recommended for dry and sensitive skin, while in the case of inflammatory changes or active atopic dermatitis, care should be taken.
